Anything good sold exceedingly well, and there was altogether an improved tone. Calves, good, made 30s to 38s ; small, £1 Is 6d to 27a ; yearlinsrs, £2 to £2 6a ; 18-months mixed, £2 15s to £2 18a, 15 to 18 r months steer?, £3 to £3 Ga ; springing hoifers to £4 13a ; fat cow?, £4 2a 6d to £5 ; cows, empty, £2 18a to £3 7s; stags, £2 10a ; 2-yeara and over rather rough, £3 9s; 2> to 3 years, £4 4s.~ At Waiwakaiho, on Thursday, a good number of both cattle and sheep wore yarded. There was .rather a smaller attendance than usual, the Waitira Regatta being a counter attraction. Bidding was very dull for nearly all classea of stock, especially small calves. Good springers were the exception, and these were well-competed for and everything at all quiet made good value 3.
