STOCK AND SHAREMARKET.
A better feeling is manifest in the market. In the majority of cases New j Zealand stocks so far have declared the usual dividends, in addition to placing good amounts to reserve funds. The figures in detail have not yet been received in all cases, but those to hand are satisfactory. Bank shares have hardened. Now Zealand Insurance • have made good profit, and declared a dividend at the rate of 12£ per cent.'; purchaser of a parcel offering locally ia wanted. The prospectus of Sharland& Co. is to hand, with balance-sheet; a profit of equal to 16J per cent, per annum is shown. A number of unallotted shares aro offered to the public. The prospectus of the ;Palmorston North Gas Company is also to hand— capital, £30,000, in 6000 shares of £5. Applications for a few remaining shares are required. The figures quoted are greatly to investors' advantage. I shall bo glad to forward prospectus and furnish full particulars to clients, and also receive applications for shares in each of the above.
