THE LATE MRS FRANCE'S LONG.

We take the following from the New Zealand Primitive Methodist :~on Thura*. day, November 19th, the beloved wi]fe of Hoy. J. Long passed peacefully away after a long and trying illness. Bhe was born in 1816, at Mary port, in Cumberland. In May, 1844, she was united in marriage to - Hey. J. Long, and in the following month set sail with hor husband and Rev. John Wilson, aa pioneer missionaries to Australia. ' The first scone of their labours was' Adelaide, where for a period of five years they laboured zealously in the Gospel. Hero their sons were born. When the Rev. R. Ward was appointed to establish our Church in Auckland, Mr Long was sent over to New Plymouth, and thus for a period of fifteen years , New-. Zealand bocame their home.
