Total reseive in the Bank of England in notes and bullion i» now £15,168,000, being a decrease ot £466,000 on previons week. Proportion of reserve to liabilities ia 43*?4 per cent., being a decrease on last week of I*9o per cent. Breadstubfs. —Wheat market: Australian store, 46s to 45s 6d per 4961 b (falling) ; N.Z. long berried wheat ex warehouse; 45s 6.1 por 4801b.°. Market quiot. Tallow. — Australian tallow: Beef, best 21s 6d j medium matton, 255; market weak, Leatheb. —Beat sides Australian leather 7|d per lb.; hides] are realising from 3dto3|d. Flax —N. Zealand flax is very quist. For best quality, £21 10s; fair £19 10*. Butteb. —New Zealand butter, f«c'ory mare, from £5 12s to £6 2i; dairy made, 98s to 110s; inferior 60a to 80s per cwt. N.Z. cheese, 5Ss to 58s the cwt; medium quality, 30s to 44b. Fbozen Meat. —Last quotations are : New Zenland frozen mutton, Canterbury 3JJ and Wellington, 3Jd ; frozen beef, hind quarters, 2jd ; fore quarters, '2§t per lb. Lamiis 4£d. Wool,—The market is firm and prices on the rice.
