THE EGMONT FARMERS' UNION (Limited) REPORT.
On Friday, tho 11th inst., wo hold a Very successful sale at Mr F. .Bayly's farm, at ''Manaia.-On Wednesday, the 16th inst., our fortnightly sale at Hawora took place. The yards wore well filled with cattle, ovor 50 per cent moro stock coming forward than were advertised. The attendance was smaller than wo have had for many months past, and bidding for the majority of linos was slow from the start, although fair monoy was offered for every pen, and a largo proportion of tho stock changed hands at tho hammer, or immediately after tho sale. Wo quoto : Fat and forward bullocks £5 la to £5 16s, 2£ to 3^-ycar-old bullocks £4 10s 6d to £4 16s, 2 to 2A-yoar-old steers £3 16a to £3 19b 6d, 12 to 18-months steers £2 5s 6d to £2 17s 6d, cows in calf £3 12s 6d to £4 7s 6d, 2 to 2^yeurt> heifers £2 17b 6d to £8 11b.
