A settler was brought in from Eltham this (Tuesday) morning, suffering from a severe sun stroke, and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.' Tho Government steamer Hinemoa landed stores for Cape Egmont Lighthouse at tho breakwater this (Tuesday) morning, and then proceeded south. The s.s. Mahinapua loavos the wharf for Manukftii on arrival of the oxpresa train to-night. The 8.8. Gairloch will leave the Waitara to-night on arrival of the express train. - Mr T. Avery, printer, bookseller, and stationer, of Dovon-strect, sends us a. Christmas, card with "The Season's Greetings." On it is neatly printed a list of tho new goods ho has recently opened up, and for which inspection is solicited. Mr Avery'e shop will be open in tho evening till the ond of tho year, ia order to give the public an opportunity of inspecting bis Christmas gootte.
