BUYING GERMAN INTERESTS IN AFRICA. London, December 2. An English syndicate ha 9 been formed to buy South-west German Africa for three million marks. PARNELL'S IRISH FUND. London, December 3. Messrs McCarthy and Healy are Siting Morrol, a banker in Paris for the recovery of the funds deposited in his bank by the late C. S. Parnell. RUSSELL DIVORCE CASE. A Jesuit priest while preaching in Bayonne Cathedral, made a remark which implied that the Pope approved of the conduct of the Archbishop of Aix, whereupon the Bishop of Bayonne, rose and forbade the priest to make a political allegation, and declared himself a supporter of the Republic.
