With regard to the question of precedence, raised by Rear-Admiral Lord" Chas. Scott on the Australian station some time ago, the Admiralty has advised Lord Knutsford, Secretary of State for the Colonies, that it is open to objection to give the local naval officers relative rank with officers engaged in the colonial navy and army, and they sjiould remain unchanged by local rank. NEW ZEALAND MASONIC LODGES. The English Grand Lodge of Masons has decided that the minority of the Hew Zealand Lodges are entitled to retain its allegiance to England, though tho majority havo seceded to the local Grand Lodge. DEATH OF BISHOP PERRY. The death is announced of Bishop Perry, of Melbourne.
