Definition of a Hack. — A horao that has never won an advertised race (Hack and Hunter Races excepted), and is not nominated at time of start, and has not, during the six months previous thereto, been nominated for any race (Haok and Hunter Races excepted). Protests ainst be in writing nnd lodged with the Secretory within ten minutes of the declaration of the Judge. Each, protest must be accompanied by a deposit of 10s (ten shillings), which EUin shall bo forfeited if not upheld by the Committee, whose decision shall be final.
