DREDGING THE HARBOUR.
. GOVERNMENT TO DO THE WORK. The ffawera Star correspondent gives some additional particulars respecting the dredging of the harbour. It snys :—: — " With regard to the vote of £3000 for 1 dredging New Plymouth Harbour it was explained that owing to the importance of i the hurbour to the mail service it was : thought desirable to assist dredging for six months to see whether vessels of ordinary ! draught could go there."
