London, September 16. At the wool sales good greasy wool is firm ; medium to inferior sorts are from 7^ to 10 per cent, below June prices. Home buyers are purchasing extensively, while French are moderate, and Germans inactive. CHILE SILVER IN ENGLAND. The thirty-five tons of silver, conveyed from Valparaiso by H.M.S. Espeigle, has been deposited in the safes of tho Bank of England... NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN. London, September 17. Tenders for a New South Wales 3^ per cent loan of foar and a-half millions at 95, were opened to-day. It was found that only £1,100,000 had been subscribed, but a few brokers took up the balance. There were 380 tenders, and the average price is about £95 0s 3d. The public apparently tendered for about a million; the colonial Banks for the same amount; and tho Bank of England for another million. CHILE RECOGNISED. Paris, September 16.
