LAND SALE.
The ballot for land in the Mimi and Upper Waitara Districts took place in tho Crown Lands Office on Thursday with the following results :—: — Sec 62, block 9, Opunako, 133 ar es (13 applications), J. H. Sellers, upset Is. Sec 1, block 7, Mimi, 410 acres (24 applications), J. Bain, upset llfd. ' Sec. 5, block 11, Mimi, 453 acres (22 applications), G. A. Jupp, 9d. Sec 7, block 11, Mimi, 275 acres (17 applications), G. Bovtrand, 9d. See 8, block 11, Mimi, 538 acres, Mary Irvine, 7|d. . Sec 1, block 2,- Upper Waitara, 464 acres (8 applications), A. Cattauach, 9d. Sec 2, block 2, Upper Waitara, 510 acres (13 applications), Murley & Paton, 7sd. ■ Sec 5, block 2, Upper Waitara, 695 aoroa ( (3 applications), H. Irvino, 7£d. Sec 11, block 2, Uppor Waitara, 681, acres, C. N. Rowo, 7sd. ! Sec 2, block 3, Upper Waitara, 960 i acres, Mary Irvino, Waitara, 7£d. I Sec 1, block 3, Upper Waitara, 830 acros, ' C. N. Rowe (applied for after ballot on defeu-ed payment), 15s 7£d. The land was disposed of with the exception of three large sections. A section in Opunake District was sold along with the land.
