MIMI BLOCK.
We are glad to see that our remarks on the desirability of ' speedily offering new blocks of land for public sale has had some effect on the Government. The Mitni block is now offered for sale on and after Wednesday, September 9, 1891, for cash, deferred payment, or perpetual lease, at the option of the purchaser. The cash prices vary from 12s 6d to 19s 6d per acre, and on lease from 7£d to llfd. There are 13 sections, varying in area ±rom 300 to 2000 acres, and it may be described as good pastoral country. As it is sold as second class land tbe conditions of improvement are comparatively easy. The distance of the block is 20 miles from Waitara, 14 of which are along the main metalled road, and 6 on a new road up the Mimi valley to the block. This sale offers an opportunity to persons (deßirouß( deBirouß of obtaining grazing land at a low rent, accessible to a market which ought not to be neglected. We have no doubt the land will be taken up at once.
