Albany, July 27. Arrived : Oratava. Passengers for New Zealand : Mr and Mrs Smitn, Misses Adams and McKeau (2), Mrs White, Ilev Mr Cumtumg, Messrs Ball, Pcuuy, Cook, and Wild. Stoney, July 2G. Canon Barlow was to-day consecrated Bishop of Northern Queensland. There is every probability that a Conference will be arranged between the Pastoralists' and Shearers' Unions, to bo held on Thursday ucxt. The final reply of the shearers is awaited. Sydney, July 27. The Shearers, who are in camp at Louth town, on the river Darling, Go miles below Bourke, captured a number of free labourers. The police, however, eventually persuaded them to release the men. The bombarded the steamer which was conveying free men to Dunlop station, with bricks and stones. The Unionists at Wilcanuia also captured a hundred free men as they landed, aud now hold them captive in their camp. Stinbury has decided not to row any more matches in the Colonies until after his visit to America. The Sydney Morning Herald thinks Lord Onslow's despatch to Lord Knutsford giving reasons why New Zealand is not likely to enter the Federation may be accepted as that colony's final decision on the question. The Australian men-of-war Kingarooma, Ratoomba, and Boomerang airived at Colombo, all well, early in the month.
