Mr Sinclair, photographer, returned from Auckland this morning, and will be in attendance at his studio as usual. The funeral of ths late Mrs James Butterworth took place this (Tuesday) afternoon, the remains being followed to their last resting place by a large numborof relatives and friends. The dsueascd leaves behind twelve children (nine of whom were at home when nhe died) to mourn their loss. During the last few months cycling has been revived to it great extent, and the outcome of the vigor that has been imparted into the pastime is that the old Pioneer Club has been resuscitated. Tho Club intend to start their now lease of existence by a handicap three mile road race, for bicycles, which will take place on the last Thursday in August. As these road races were very popular when tho Club used to hold them a couple of yearn ago, thoir revival should bo' ht»iled with satisfaction by the couimuni'y.
