It speaks much for tho skill and courage of this surfboat crew, that during the many years of tho performance of this difficult and often dangerous landing service, only one fatal accident occurred. Perhaps no more gratifying evidence of the progress and prosperity of Taranaki can be instanced than in MrNewton King's business, which has grown with the place.
