A serious disturbance took place at Folkestone to-day between soldiers and police. The latter were in the act of arresting a man charged with an offence, when the soldiers interfered, and cleared the street, and threatened to destroy the Town Hall The police were reinforced from Shorncliffe, distant 1-^ miles from Folkestone, and, using their swords, were successful in restoring order. Forty of tlie soldiers were arrested. OUTRAGE ON GIRL BY KURDS. Sir J. Fcrgusson, in reply to a question, informed the House of Commons that the State of Persia- JtaA despatched troops to enforce the release of the British girl who was seized by Kurds. EMPEROR WILLIAM'S VISIT TO ENGLAND. Paris, July 1.
