The Polish settlers mustered in large numbers, quite filling the little chapel. The church had been decorated very prettily with flowers aud evergreens, which reflected great credit on the tayte displayed by those who did the work The second Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father McKenna, at 11 o'clock, when the church was again crammed, a large number o£ Protestants being present. In a masterly and eloquent manner His Grace depicted the state of society when Christianity was in its infancy, and then showed that, notwithstanding the numerous attempts made to crush it out of existence, it had gained strength, until the whole world had been forced to acknowledge its divine influence on the people. The benediction of the Blessed Sacrament by His Grace followed, and the service' came to a conclusion.
Arrangements had been made to-day for .Archbishop. Redwood to have visited 'Woodleigh, where he was to have been entertained by Mr J.
