Mr Garry has partially arranged, it ia' understood, the cast for the opera "Mikado." At Nelsonraces on Tuesday Torpedo won the Maiden and Flying, and Angler the Cnp and Granstand. Mr Mcßae, of Manaia, now owns Torpedo, having paid Mr Goodwin £190 for him. The horao went down in P. Johnston's charge to 1 Nelson. It will bo seen by advertisement that Duncan C. Ross, the great athlete, and Captain Churchward, of the 6th Bengal Lancers, will give an exhibition of feats of strength, skill, and horsemanship on the Recreation Ground track at 2.30 o'clock on Saturday.
