LECTURE BY REV. U. P. RAIKKS. Tui: llev. H. P. Bailees delivered tin instructive and amusing lecture, entitled " The Life of a Country Parson," in St. Mary's schoolroom on Tuesday night. The Yen. Archdeacon Govett was in the chair. The reverend lecturer had a most attentive and appreciative audience. The title of tho lecture, of course, does not mean the life of a country parson in the colonies, but in England, and the way the lecturer placed his subject before tho audience would lead one to infer that a country parson's lot in that country was not such a bad one, all things considered. On the whole, the lecture was highly instructive, and the lecturer imparted into his narrative a certain amount of humour, which his auditors could not fail to appreciate.
