A Press telegram states that while Mr A. Atkinson, a son of the Premier, was driving some lady friends in a carriage on Wednesday afternoon at Patea, the horse bolted and the king-bolt came out. Mr Atkinson in endeavoring to hold the horse was pulled over and had his shoulder dislocated. No danger is likely to result from the accident. Some of the firemen complain of stone and gravel throwing during the procession on New Year's Eve. One fireman, as recorded elsewhere, had his head opened with a stonu, another got a quantity of gravel thrown in his face, and others oomplain of being also' str'nok with missiles. It is a pity that the perpetrators of these acts cannot be found out, and an example made of them in the Courthouse. Neither triokery nor competition, hat been able to attopt fto reputation 'Qt
