WAITARA FREEZING WORKS.
• FIRST DIRECT SHIPMENT. The s.s. Matatua, of the Shaw Savill and Albion Company's line, is expected from the south to night (Monday) or early to-morrow morning. All arrangements have been made at Waitara to Lake the cargo out to her, the punt that will be used being capable of holding about 100 tons. The shipment from Waitara will consist principally of the frozen mutton and beef from the Waitara Freezing Works, but besides this there will be butter, flax, etc. Considerable interest is being manifested in the matter throughout the district, and there is sure to be a large number of visitors at the river town tomorrow.
