ENGLISH CRICKET SEASON.
Surrey is premier crickotiDg county for the season, Lancashire 2nd, Kent and Yorkshire bracketed 3rd, and Notts sth.
A report was current in town to-day (Monday), that if the Union Company's boat arrived hero with non-Union men aboard, the local railway employees would refuse to work her at the breakwater. On enquiry there is found to he no foundation in the report, and moreover if the local railway servants went out they wonld do so on their own responsibility, as their Union provides for a poll of members being taken throughout the colony on such an important question.
