OKATO.
[from an occasional correspondent.] April, 30. — The meeting of householders for the election of a School Committee was held on Monday with the following result :- -Messrs Bell, Andrews, Syme," Wilson, Corbett, Salmon, and Julian, of whom Mr Syme was elected Chairman for the ensuing year. I am very pleased to see more interest taken in our local elections, than formerly, but unhappily many were too late to take a part in the nominations.
I understand that the first of a series of dances, will take place on Friday 3rd inst.
