The same night as a man was murdered in the Domain, another man was badly stabbed in Hyde Park. The atrocities are believed to be tuc work of a maniac.
Sydney, April 28. Dr. McLeod, who was arrested at Napier, has been committed for trial on a charge of bigamy. The charge of criminally assaulting a young woman in his employ some years ago fell through, the proseeiilrix being unwilling to prosecute, and the accused was discharged. Brisbane, April 28. The Marino Board has decided that ill-fated steamer Quetta struck on an unknown rock.
