Adelaide, April 24. H.M.S. Cordelia, which replaces the Calliope on the Australian staticn, has arrived here. Melbourne, April 25. Arrrived (last night) : Wairara from Blutr. At the annual meeting 1 of tr Chamber of Commerce a motion wa passed expressing approval with the proposed postal reduction to the colonies." It was also suggested that it would bo preferable to join the postal Union. Sydney, April 24. The embankments at Louth have given way, and tho town is flooded. fc>Yi»-i£Y, April 25. A man who^e name has not been ascertaiued, was savagely murdered in the Domain last night. The body which wa-; horribly mutilated was thrown into the harbour. The police have no cine as to who committed the deed. JJubeur states he is> prepared to make another match with Brown. He declares that in the race rowed on Wednesday lie had no alternative but to row Brown down. Had he not done so, he would have run ashore.
