Butcher's Meat. — Beef : Sirloin, 3d ; prime ribs, 3d ; rump steak, 4d ; other roasts, from 2d ; boiling beef, from Id ; corn round beef, 3d ; other corn beef, 2Ad per lb, Mutton ': Hind-quarter, 3d ; forequarter, 2d ; legs, 3£d ; loins, 3d ; chops, 3d and 4d ; shoulders, 2£d ; necks and breasts, l£d per lb. Lamb : Fore-quarter, 3s; hind-quarter, 3b 6d. Pork : Fresh, 4d per lb. Veal: 3dto4dperlb. Sausages: Beef, 4d ; pork, 6d per lb. — These prices are for cash only.
Farm and Dairy Produce. — Milk, 3d to 4d per quart ; butter, 8d per lb ; cheeso, Gd per lb.; eggs, ls 2d per dozen; fowls, 3s 6d per pair ; ducks, 5s per pair ; lard, Gd per lb ; bacon, 7cl ; best hams, 8d ; turkeys, 4s to 4s 6d.
Fruit. — Bananas, 4d per lb; cocoanuts, 3d to 4d each; apples, 3d to 4d per lb; lemons, Id to 2deach; oranges, Is 6d to 2s per dozen ; tomatoes, 4d per lb ; pears, 4d to 0d per lb; quinces, 81bs for Ls; passion fruit, Gd per doz.; water melons, 6d to ls each.
