STARTLING EVENT IN A VILLAGE

To the Editor of "Saturday Night," Birmingham.

I kegently came into possession of certain facts of so remarkable a nature, that I am sure you will be glad to assist in making thi'in public. Tho following lotterß were shown to mo, and I at once begged permission to copy them for the Press. They come fiom a highly responsible source, and may bo receive! without question.

MESSAGE fuom Gkorgb James Oostuno, L.D.S., R.C.5.1., Ph.C.L, Licentiato in Ph-irmacy and Dontal Surgeon.

Stowmarket, July 18, 1889. To Mr. White,

Tho enclosed remarkable cure should, I think, be and circulated in Suffolk. The statement was entirely voluntary, and is genuine in fact and detail. G. J. G.

"To the Proprietors of Mother Soigel's Syrup.

"Gentlemen, — The following romarkable euro was related to me by the husband. Mary Ann Spink, of Finbornugh, Suffolk, was for over twenty years afflicted with rheumatism and neuralgia, and although comparatively a young woman at the time she was attacked (she is now fifty), the was compelled, in cousequonco, to walk with two sticks, and even then with difficulty and puin. About a year and a half a^o she waß advised to try Mother Soigel's Syrup, and after taking three bottles and two boxes of Seigel's Operating Pills, the vse of her limbs were restored, and she is now able to walk three miles to Stowmarket with ease, frequently doing the distance in three-quurtars of an hour. Any sufferer who doubts this story can fully ascertain its truthfulness by paying a visit to tho village, and enquiring of the villagers who will certify to the facts.

"Appended is the husband's signature to tho statement. (It Spink.) " (i. J. (iOSTLINQ, " Ipswich Street, " Stowmarkot."

This is certainly a very pitiable caso, nnn the happy euro wrought by this simple but powerful muiedy, must move the sympathy ot nil hearts ia n common pleasure. This poor woman had bot-n a cripple for twouty of. her best years ; years in which she should have tmd such comfort and enjoyment as life has to give. But, ou the contrary, she was a miserable burden to herself; and a source ol! euro to hor friends. Now at an ago when the rest of us are growing feeble, 6he, in a manner, renews her youth and almost begins a now existence. What a blessing and what a wonder it is! No ono who knows her, or who reads her story, but will bo thankful that the good Lord has enabled men to discover a remedy capable of bringing about a cure that reminds vs — 'sve speak it reverently— of the ago of miracles.

It should ho explained that this moßt remarkable euro is due to the fact that rheumatism is a disease of the blood. Indigestion, constipation, and dyspepsia cause the poison frooj the partially digested food to enter the circulation, aud the blood deposits it in tho jcints and muscles. This is rheumatism. Seigel's Syrup corrects the digestion, and so stops the further formatiou and depoait o£ the poison. It then removes from the system the poison already thoro. It is not a cureall. It does its wonderful work entirely by its mysterious notion upon the digeßtivo organs. But when we remember that nine-tenths o£ our ailments arin3 in thoao organs, we can understand why Soigol's Syrup curen ao many diseases that appear to bo so diiVsi'cut in their naturu. In other words 'ihcum.itism and neuralgia are but symptoms of indigestion, constipation, and dyspepsia.
