Plam of Proposed Expenditure. — Hawera County Council's plan of proposed expenditure, amounting to £196 10s 4d, was recommended by the Ranger and passed ; Clifton County Council's plan of £61 10s was also passed on the Ranger's recommendation ; Tataraimaka Road Board's plan, of £1 14s lOd, was also approved; and the Egmont Road Board's plan of £6 2s 8d was similarly dealt with. Stratford Se tions. — D. Gooch applied to purchase sec 395, Stratford ; W. and E. Buckthought, sec 281, Stratford ; S. H. James, sec 361, Stratford ; and Ann Gardiner, sec 755, Stratford. — The sections will be offered by auction. Swamp Land. — G. Newsham applied for «, 10 years' lease of block i, 5, 10, 11, and part block 17 •( Waitara East township), known as " the swamp," at a yearly rental of £1. — The Board decided to let the land on a yearly tenancy, terminable at three months' notice. Iluirangi Sections. — J. Andrews applied for certain unsold sections in Huirangi township on perpetual lease, and also stated that his brother, F. Andrews, was willing to take up certain other sections. — The Board decided to offer the unsold lots at Iluirangi under the alternative system. Ngaire Sivamp. — The following memo, dated March 7, was read from the Under Secretary of Lands with reference to the leasing of the Ngaire Swamp :—": — " Before taking any further action in tho matter the Honorable Minister of Lands wishes to know if the lands would be likely to let if subdivided into about 7 or 8 sections, say, as shown in pencil on the accompanying tracing, as there are objections to offering it for lease as a whole, or in large sections." — Consideration of the matter was postponed. Certificates of Title. — A schedule for certificates of title was put on the table, read, and approved. The Board adjourned.
