[per press assoo-ation.] The Manawatu Summer Meeting came off on Boxing Day, and was a success in every way. Upwards of £3500 passed through the totalisators. Results :—: — Flying Handicap.— -Cruiser, 1; Weka, 2 ; Boulanger, 3. Time, lmin. 18sec. Dividend, £3 14s. Hurdles. — Gladius, 1; Odd Fellow, 2. Time, 4min. lOsec. Dividend, £2 3s. Boxing Day Handicap. — Montrose, 6st 9lb, 1; Foxton, 7st 61b, 2; Eclat, 6st 101 b, 3. Eight started. It was a grand race, and was won by half a length. Time, 3min. 9sec. Dividend, £3 17s. Somnus Produce Stakes. — Endymion, 1; The Banker, 2; Ajax, 3. Tradesmen s Handicap. — Montrose, 1; Cruiser, 2; Eclat, 3. Time, 2min. losec. Dividend, £3 Bs. Hack Flat Race. — Vision, 1. Eleven started. Hack Hurdles. — Tit Bit, 1.
