STRANGE CONDUCT OF EX-INSPECTOR BULLEN.
CHARGED WITH THREATENING TO SHOOT A WOMAN. fPBB PRBBB ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, July 29.— Robert Bullon, formerly Inspector of Police at Napier and New Plymouth, haß been arrested on several ohargeß of extraordinary conduct. The first charge is that of threatening a woman named Elizabeth MoKinder. Ho went to pluintifE's house, and accused her of stealing £150, at tho bo mo time saying, " I will do for jou ; I will break every bone in your body." Bullen had in his possession a loaded revolver, and threatened to shoot a man who came to ber assistance. Bullen fired the revolver in the air, and then went away. He was charged with the above offence on Saturday afternoon, and on the application for a remand Mr Edwards, solicitor, said he intended laying far more serious charges against him on behalf of Georgd Norbury and Austin Coom, both of whom had been threatened by Bullen with a revolver, and an indictable information against tho accused was being prepared. Norbary, it appears, sholtered Mrs McKinder when driven from her bouse by tue prisoner, and tho latter, on hearing of this, threatened to take Norbury's life. Bullen went to Norbury'a houre and called out to tho latter, "Come ouisido and I will blow your bruins out." Austin Coom is a carponter, residing next to Mrs McKinder, anu about midnight he saw Bullen with a cart removing Mrs McKindur's furniture. He asked thu accused his authority for the action, whereupon the latter knocked him down with his fist, and, drawing a revolver ftom his hip pocket, presented it in C'oom's r'uee, saying, " I will blow your bl y bruin a out," and at the same lime mukiug use ot other threatening epithets. A further charge of breukiug aad enter ing Mrs AlcKinder's house, and also Bleating goods and money, will beprefeiredagaiußt Bullen. Bullun was taken before the Resident AlugiHtrate in the ui'ternoon, when ovidouto to tho above tffeot was given, and tho aocußed remanded till Mjuday. Tho Beooh refund bail,
