TIOW AND PBODUOE REPORT.
At the Haymarket, on Satnrday, only a few pigs came forward, good weaners making 7b. Hacks made £2 to £5 7s 6.1; 1 light drangnt mare, £5 10a. The Hols eiu bull, after brisk competition, was finally knocked down to Mr Romulus Street, ior £26.
At tbe matt, geese made 2a 4d to 2b srt, fowls iOd 10 Is 6d, Dorkings Is Bd, turkeys 28 3d to 3s, ducks Is 6d to Is Bd, potatoes 3s 6d to 4s, onions l£d to lfd, maize 3s, sharps 7s 6d, bacon 4£d to sd, rice 2£d, white sugjir 4sd. Furniture and sundiies sold at fair rates.
Cattle. — At Bahotn, on Tuesday, only a few cattle were yarded, but nearly all were sold at market rates. Yearlings made 10s to Us, 2 to 2J-year steer* £3 3s «d, heifers in calf £2 Is, springing cows &2 to £2 15c— At Waiwakaiho, on lhmsday, a good nambe of stock were yarded; good nnoag 12 to 18mouths cattle were in good dem»nJ, and all of thia class sold at good prices. Dairy cattle were quite neglected, and the majority of this class were passed in at the hammer, only a few gooa springers being cold, and these at low ratea. After the sale moat pens fonnd luyers, though in most cases below original reserves. Calves made 8s to 12b, yeailings to 16-momhs steers 14s 6d to 21s, good 18-months steers 27s 6d, 2£ to S.yeara steers £2 4s 6d to £2 16s, heifeis in call 34b to 358, empty heifers 36s 6d to £2 Ss, sprmging heifers £2 6s to £2 10s, cows (speyed) £3 12s 6d.
Land. — During the week I have sold several valuable farms. Then aie many enquiries for land, and the farms now open ior sale are being rapidly snapped up. I sold to Mr T. Q. bole Mr Banks' farm, known as " Gulliacote," adjoining the " JBrooklands" estate, 140 acres, at a satisfactory figan. I also sold a 250-acre firm at Tataraimaka to Mr fietteridge — all open land, Negotiations for 800 acres of the celebrated White (Jlift"s estate were completed jeiterday, Mtssrs Glajsford Bros, becoming the purcoisers — price withheld. The loko block is the sensation of the day, aud reports from visitors to the locality are one and all favorable.
Produce.— There is nothing fresh to report. Batter remaiuß at last quotation!.
Potatoes are coming in, and moving off freely at late rates.
