LEPPERTON.
[from oob own correspondent.] July 25. — A football match was played at Lepperton on Wednesday, July 24th, between Inglewood and Lepperton, and resnlted in a victory for tho latter by five tries to nil. The visitors played a* hard gtme all through. Among those who played well for Inglewood were F. Kidri, Lever^). W. Lyle, W. Hammond, T. Giddy, and a few whose names t.ould not be ascertained. Lepperton, having the advantage of some experienced players, >rere expected to win. Tries for Lepperton were obtained by T. Cole (2), H. Purdy, A. Hunt, and A. Klenner. B. Wright, B. Welle, A- Hoekin, W. Hamblyn, and 11. Monroe also played well.
Mr Tyer, who was unixble to play, umpired for Inglewood, and Mr C. Bayly (Clifton Club) officiated for Lepperton. Mr Peroival acted as timekeeper and referee.
