Telegram. — A telegram dated WeHtport, September 14th, was read from Mr McQueon (of the firm of Kincaid McQueen, & Co., of Dunedin) stating he would leave for New Plymouth to inspect the drelger on Thursday (20th). Information — A lftter wan received from the Marine Department, Wellington, asking for information relntive to tho port for the next edition of the Now Zealand Pilot. — The Harbormaster will eeo to this. I Striking the Rate. — The following two i resolutions relative to Ihe rate wore con- | firmed:— (1) That a rate of £d im the £be mado and levied on all rateable property within, the New Plymouth Harbor R>itin<r District for the year commencing on 20th June, 1888, and ending 19th Jan*, 1889, and that the same be payable in equal halt yearly instalments on 26th September, 1888, and 26'h March, 1889. at tho office of the BonH, Brougham-etreet. New Plymonth. (2). That Clarence Rianeli, of New Plymouth, accoun'ant, he appointed the Board's colleotor of rates for the New Plymouth Harbor Rating Distriot, and he be authorised to sue for the saaie in the namo of the New Plymouth Harbor Board, and for that purpose to make all affidavits and declarations, and to do all such other acts, deedß, matter*, and things which the plaintiff is required to do in the Court ia which he is suing:.
