Tho Government of Western Australia state that they will be guided by tho aotion taken by the other colonies, and will await reoeipt of their replies on the Bubjeot before committing themselves to a deoision. The Government of South Australia have replied that they cannot contribute to the cost of the lurvey. Sydney, September 19. Mr Gillies announoed in the House yesterday that the Government would abandon their Budget proposals. They would pass the Electoral Bill, and appeal to the country.
