Bank rate of discount is now i per cent., and market rate is now 3£ percent. Total reserve in tbo Bank of England in notes and bullion is now £11,900,000 showing an decrease of £200,000. Proportion of reserve to liabilities is 44 per cent., or 1 per cent, lower than last week. Bbeadstots'B. — Adelaide wheat, ex store, quiet, at 33s 6d per 4961b5 ; New Zealand wheat, ex store, 30« to 33s per 496 lbi.; Adelaide flour, 23a. Tallow. — Australian tallow, steady ; beef, 22s 6d ; and 23s 6d for mntton. Leatheb, — Best sides Australian leather are worth llfd per lb. Flax — The New Zealand flax market continues firm at the following quotations :— Fine quality, £26 per ton; medium, £22 105 ; common, £20. Feozen Meat. — New Zealand frozen mutton, prime quality, 3gd to 4d per lb. Wool. — The wool auction closed on Wednesday. 35,000 bales being offered during the series. The market on the whole closed with a fall in price.
