SIR ROBERT STOUT DECLINES A SEAT. fPBB PBESS ASSOCIATION.!
Nelson, September 27.— Sir Robert Stout, in replying to Mr. Kerr's offer to resign in order to allow Sir R. Stout to contest the seat, B<iys :—": — " Many thanks to the Nelson people and to yourself, but I will not accept any other seat." Dunbdin. September 27. — Mr. Fitcbett, who was eleoted for Dunedin Central, has placed his scut at the disposal of the Premier, who replied that he could not accept it.
A meeting of gentlemen has been held, and it was resolved to get up a monßter petition asking Sir Robert Stouc to reconsider his determination.
