The Taranaki and Inglewood Rifle Volunteers are notified in another colnmn of parades to be held daring October.
Mr. Ricuardson, of the Criterion S tables, is inaugurating a system of parcels delivery, and will collect and- deliver parcels between the railway station and any part of the borough, for the email charge of sixpence.
An epidemic which prevails at the present time in New Plymouth has caused a large numoer of persons to be laid up. It- is called by the medical men dengue, or '* dandy fever," and comes on in the shape of a cold, with rhenmatic pains. Mr. Baiiiuel, Mr. W. Bayly, Mr. T. King, Mr. Staudisb, Mr.F. A. Ford and othera are, all kid up with this complaint.
