WABSHIPS FOR AUSTRALIA. London, September 23. H.M.S. Egeria, surveying sloop, has been ordered to Aus*w"a. WOOL MARKET. Since the opening of the sales tne following alterations in prioes have taken place, viz.. — Long staple merino, light in grease, has advanoed id per lb; medium and inferior greasy merino have declined nearly £d per lb ; inferior scoured merino has declined Id per lb; for superior scoured merino the market is easier ; other descriptions are unchanged; wools of a faulty character are neglected. The total quantity oatalogued to date is 135,000 bales. 17,000 bales have been withdrawn.
