I Pboduob.— There has been a slight improvement in the grain market 5 wheat has been moving ofi and the market is steadier ; oats in demand for export ; rye grass drags heavily, only best machine dressed saleable ; cocksfoot firm. Quotations are:— Wheat : Tuscan and velvet, 3b 6Jd to 3s 7Jd ; Hunter, 3s 6d to 3s 7d ; chick wheat, 2s lid to 3s, Flour, £9 10s to £10 per ton; oatmeal £9 per ton. Oats, feed, Is 9d to Is lOd; milling, Is lOd to Is lid the bushel. Barley : malting, 3s 4d to 3s 6d ; feed, 2$ to 2s 3d the bushel. Cheese, 3d to 3f d perlb.; butter (piime keg), 6£d to Bit; fresh, 9d to Is; eggs, Is per dozen, Hams and bacon, 6d roG^d perlb.' Bye-grass seed, extra machined, 3s 6d per bushel ; farmers' parcels hard to sell at Is 9d to 2s fid. Cockßfoot grass seed at 4§d (o 4|d. Onions, £6 10s to £6 per ton, .Potatoes, 20s at country stations.
