Bbbadstdffs.— The Melbourne manager of the National Mercantile Agency Co. of New Zealand (Limited) reports the local grain market as follows : — Shipping wheat, moderate inquiry, 3s 9d to 3s lOd per bushel. Mailing barley slow of sa'e, at 5s 6d to 6s pel buabel ; New Zealand oats, feted sort, steady at 2s 9d to 2s lid ; New Zealand milling oats moderate enqaiiy, at 2s lid to 3s ; New Zealand oats, under bond, 2s to 2s 2d, Pbodtjce.— The Farmers' Produce Co. report: Cheese: prime loaf , 6d to 6.Jd per lb, ; second quality, to 6^l; other kinds*4d to 6d. Fresh butter : Prime dairies, Is to Is 3d ; ordinary lots, lOd to Is ; new ported, 9d to lid; old prime, 6d ti 9 1; other kinds, 2d to sd. Eggp, Is 2£d to Is3| I doz. Hams: Prime factory cured, 9£i per lb; farm, to 7^d. Bacon: Factory, BJd; farm, to 7d; carcase pork, id to 5d ; lard, 6£d j honey, bush 3d, garden 4d ; beeswax, 9Jd. Cattle and Sheep. — Messrs. B. Gibsoa and Co. report : Fat cattle : 2270 were entered for sale, a. fair proportian of which wero of good and prime quality, but none were co heavy as some of those yarded lest week. There was a full attendance of buyers, and the market opened at last quotations, bat became duller towards the end. About 27,000 sheep were yarded, a fair proportion of which were of good and prime quality. The demand was not so biiek as last market day, prices for best descriptions being slightly easier, while sales of middling and inferior sorts were dull, and for such last week's improved rates were not maintained.
