Several Maoris were ia town on Thursday afternoon with an express drawn by four horses, with which they were going the round of the shops and buying up flour, keiosene, sugar, and other articles | used for domestic affairs. They are going to Parihaka, where they intend to hold a Bort of fair, at which the commodities will be compotod for in games and other amusements. In another column will be 'found an advertisement respecting "Old Judge" cigarette?, which should be read by tobacconists and others who sell the fragrant weed. It appears that the Auckland Tobacco Company havo been manufacturing and selling cigarettes called " Old General," in wrappers and labels so oloßety resembling the " Old Judge" as to be an infringement of the trade murk. A writ^ of injunction haß accordingly been obtained in the Supreme Court by Messrs. Goodwin & Co., the manufacturers of the "Old Judge," restraining the defendant company from repeating the offence ; and any person found selling the " Old General " cigarettes as at present wrapped and labelled will be liable to proceeding?, :
