The following notices of motion were given by Mr. Corkill at tho Borough Council on Monday: — "That the Reserves . Bill Committee be authorised to confer with tho Borough solicitor, and to give him the necessary instructions for the preparation of a bill in the terms of Sir Robert Stout's proposed measure, but em- . bodying the conditions specified in the , address to the ratepayers by Messrs. N./ King, O. Rennell, and A. C. Fookes, and published in recent issues of the Taranaki i lerai.d and Taranaki yews." Also "7'hat Messrs Bellringer, Hughes, Dockrill, and Rennell be a committee with full power ia every respeot to act ia promoting a speedy legislative settlement of this question oa the foregoing terms,"
