EDUCATION BOARD.
(Continued from Toion Edition.) Midhirst. — On Mr. Wade's motion, seconded by Miss Hetwood, it was resolved " That the Midhirst School Committee be informed that when the fencing is completed to the satisfaction of tho Board, the £3 will be paid." This £3 is the contribution of the Board towards fencing the Waipuku school ground. The Secretary was given the necessary authority. Frankley Road. — A protest was received against tho election of tho Frankley Road Committee. The protest was not entertained. The chairman of tho Committee applied for a grant in assistance of fencing. On Mr. Andrews' motion, seconded by Mr. Badchope, it was resolved, " That the Committee be informed that the Board cannot at present promise any grant, but will consider it when in funds." PuJicaruhe. — The Secretary was authorised to purchase firewood for the Pnkearuhe school. In reference to an account sent in for repairs, it was decided " That in the opinion of the Board the payment can only be made in accordance with the regulations." Urcnui, — The matter of cleaning out and deepening tha Urenui school weil was left to Mr. Faull to deal with. Pupil Teachers. — The pupil teachers whoso names wo published yesterday were declared to have passed their examinations. — The Board consider " That Miss Flora Leech, Inglewood, aud Miss Alice Ford, New Plymouth, have distinguished themselves by the large number oC marks they obtained." Accounts.— £fß6 12s. 9J. was passed for payment. Special Meeting. — It was decided tint the Board hold a special meeting on 21st inst.. for tho purpose of consideiiug the reports of the Regulations Committee and the Teachers' Appointment Committee, and other matters. The Boird adjourned.
