Tho folio wing are the latest telegrams from Lonelon respecting the elections : — London, July 9. — Liberals have been ousted by Conservative candidates at Camberwell, Woodbridge (Suffolk), Pembroke, and Southern ! Lanarkshire. The state of the parties according to the returns on Friday were 250 Conservatives, 50 Unionists, 131 Gladstoneites, and 65 Parneilites. Supporters of Mr. Gladstone have been returned for Dumfries and East Fifeshire. Campbell-Bannerman, Secretary for War, has been re-elected for Stirling ; j and John Pender has beeii defeated for Wiok District. The whole of the elections of the English boroughs are now completed. The list shows 144 Conservatives, 22 Unionists, 60 Gladstoneites returned, of which 49 Conservatives, 2 Unionists, 11 Gladstoneites have been eleoted for the Metropolitan constituencies. The Fall Mall Gazette says that Mr. Gladstone's defeat is beooming a rout. Mr. Goschen has been offered a seat in Cornwall, and another has been offered to Sir Thomas Brassey. Mr. Justin McCarthy was defeated for Londonderry, by three votes. He is not returned as has been stated in a previous cablegram. The error arose out of a telegraphic mistake. Mr. Gladstone is writing letters daily to the newspapers, which are querulous, arrogant, and almost inBulting in their tone.
