Fpeb press assooiation.j FATE OP A NEW CHUM. Dunedin, March 1. A new chum named G-arrett hanged himself in the hospital last night by tying his belt to a window. He was developing symptoms of insanity, and had been locked up in the strongroom pending his committal to the lunatic asylum. BURGLARY AND ARSON. Robertson and Mackay's butcher shop was broken into this morning and set on fire. A policeman discovered the fire and put it out. The burglars only stole a lot of hams.
