[TELEGRAPHED BY OWN CORBESI'ONDENT.J October 5. — Tenders for native reserves leases are now being opened, but general results will not be known till late in the afternoon. There seems to be a good many tenders for the Okaiawa land, but the prices offered arc moderate— not exceeding Bs. or 9s. per acre. 100 tenders for 40 sections average price not obtainable yet, but tenders regarded as moderate. Tho competition was mostly for Okaiawa leases (Tikokowaru's land).
