AUSTRALIAN TELEGRAMS.
Adelaide, October 8. In the House of Assembly last night the Colonial Treasurer introduced his amended scheme of taxation. The proposals are as follows :— An imposition of a tax of id. in the £ on rural property ; a tax of Id. in the £ on gains or profits arising from personal property ; and an income tax of 3d. in the £, subject to certain exceptions.
