Waihi Survey District.— Block ii, 19 section?, containing 3423 acres, at an upset price of £1 10s. per acre, will be open for selection on the " Deferred Payment System" on Wednesday, the 21st June next. Description op Land.— The Maniatutu Village, situated on the future main road from Taurangra to Opotiki. is about the centre of the above lands, and is distant from Tauranga 23 miles, from Te Puke 11 miles, and from Maketu 9\ miles, by partly-formed roads, the road from Kaikokopu to the village and onwards through the block being now under construction by Government. The lands in the Maketu and Waihi Sarvey Districts are all open, and consist of undulating fern hills running ont to swamps in the northern por» tions, whilst the southern blocks are more broken. The soil is light, the vegetation con» sisting of fern, tutu, and flax. The swamp lands are in many cases of a superior character.
