Three men have been arrested, and another will probably be arrested. THE KNIFE A man named Charles Johnston, after being ejected from tho City Hotel, kicked the door iv. Mr. Sheppard and Coulau, the barman, seized him, intending to give him into custody, when he drew a knife, and inflicted a flesh wound on both. He was subsequently arrested by the police. FIRE AT WYNDHAM. Isvercargill, October 12. A fire at Wyudham destroyed a stable and a number of outhouses at P. B. Button's farm. Garry Owen, a large stable, together with a prize bull, and tho stallion Pablo Fanqua, were destroyed.
